New Caprica: RPG (It's really, really long!)
If you enjoy Battlestar Galactica, then you'll have no problems with the dark plot. Because a good portion of the game will be on New Caprica in harsh conditions, the focus will be more about the problems facing the survivors in the climate, with very limited resources, and space. There's only 20 percent of the planet that is habitable, and that's around the equator. We'll be exploring how they live in canvas tents for an entire year, leaving Chief to form his union and give his speech. To hold the ground-breaking ceremony. For babies to grow up a bit *cough Hera*. Some characters will, sadly, not have much to do at certain times (ie., Tigh will end up in the detention center, Zarak refuses to bow to the cylons during the first few weeks of occupation, Athena will be locked up in the Galactica Brig... etc).

Keep in mind, that pretty much anyone CAN be played, but someone like Romo Lampkin wouldn't really have much contact with Baltar, Lee, etc since they don't actually meet him until the end of season 3. This won't be an AU game, so keep that in mind if you ask for a character that's not on the list. Duck, Nora, Jammer... They all have insanely huge bits to play during the resistance, and these otherwise "minor" characters become BIG characters so keep in mind that you don't have to be a "big name" player to get in on the action. Personally, I'd LOVE to see some Sagitaron no-doctors nuts in the game and Geminon religious/prophecy-believers. You wanna play the girl who stowed away to get an abortion from Cottle? Go for it.

For PBs, someone asked if I wanted canon PBs. For the main characters, yes. Definitely. There are more than enough screencaps out there for characters (I managed over 100 for Racetrack at frakkingcylon, and that was by just grabbing a few episodes I KNEW she'd be in). For people like Layne Ishay or Gaffee or Maya... They're not in enough episodes to really have a full 100 set of icons. Now if you're okay with just a handful, you're welcome to use the PB on the show. But those aren't necessary. The Maya actress is in what? 3 episodes, and for maybe 3 minutes tops. I'd recommend trying to find someone who looks SIMILAR to the actor used -- ie., Maya appears Mediterranean to me. Or you're welcome to use pics from other shows they were in. (Erica Cerra, who plays Maya, has been in a LOT: Eureka, The L Word, Smallville, Dead Like Me). If you need help getting a PB or getting icons (BSG caps are RUTHLESS for iconing purposes. RUTHLESS I TELL YOU!), please do NOT hesitate to ask if I have episodes a person was in, or if I could make icons. I have about 11 or 12 BSG actors right now. Helo, Baltar, Six, Racetrack, Roslin, Ellen, Anders, Lee, Billy (awww), Chief, Leoben, Cally, Sharon, Tory.

The only thing I'm going to foresee problems with is the journals. Not all characters will keep journals. We know that Roslin and Adama do -- Roslin is more personal, and Adama's is definitely much more of an Admiral's log. I imagine that Kara definitely keeps one, filled with doodles and curse words. LOL. I do NOT think they'll be computer-based at all, and they will DEFINITELY not be networked so comment wars are, sadly, not going to happen. The game will focus more on interactions -- meaning logs. I know they're time-consuming, but... alas. Fun times all around. I am, however, willing to hear anyone's input on the networking of computers for journals, but at the moment, I am leaning toward 'no' because if they had networked computers, wouldn't Kara have sent Lee and email and been like "I DON'T WANT TO TALK TO YOU LA LA because I HAVE TO GO through DEE."

If you've already put a hold, double-check this to let me know if it's correct, or if you need to drop a hold.

Also, on Head!Six, I haven't decided actually. I'm leaning towards 'no' since she doesn't make an appearance (that we see) during that year but I'm trying to confirm that. I remember when season 3 was starting, everyone was like YAY HEAD!SIX IS BACK (in the scene where she tells him that sometimes you have to do things you don't like/want to live to fight another day in the opener when Doral has a gun to his head). If that's the case, then she won't show up until later, and I might have it just be under Baltar's NPCs. Buuuut I'm not sure!

	I definitely don't want the actual app until it's nearly time to bring them in -- like a month or so before I'd initiate them, so that the cylons could work with me on plot stuff for the occupation. That way, it gives everyone time to really perfect their cylons. ;) Plus, that's likely a while away (Reply to this) (Parent)
